The Ernest J. Bohn Center is a friendly place that is located in the exciting University Circle. Visit us during the week for hot and nutritious daily lunches, and stay to experience the activities and programs we have to offer. We provide a variety of fun activities to accommodate members of all ability levels. Join us in the future for local trips to museums, theatres and gardens. Whether you are an old friend or a new face, you are always welcome here, and we look forward to seeing you!
Nutrition
The Ernest J. Bohn Center provides daily hot and nutritionally balanced Congregate (group) meals to elders (age 60+). The Congregate lunch meals are available at no cost to seniors; donations are accepted.
Supportive Services
Anyone who attends our center has access to individual counseling in a variety of areas assisting them to remain and thrive in their neighborhoods. Some areas of counseling include:
• Resources for independent living
• Assisting in consumer knowledge
• Screening for public benefits, assistance in completing documents, enrollment in benefit programs
• Financial, housing, and family support issues
Recreation and Socialization
Group adult development activities are offered at all of our Stand Alone centers. The activities we offer cover areas of health and wellness, arts & culture and lifelong learning. Among the most popular activities offered at our site are:
• An exercise program
• Bingo
• Ohio Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition program
• Podiatry service
• Shopping trips
Transportation
Ernest J. Bohn Center offers transportation to and from the center and to weekly outings. Please contact us to learn more information regarding our transportation services.
