The Oakwood Community Golden Age Center is a welcoming facility that provides a daily lunch program as well as activities and programs for the seniors who attend lunch. Our site is a friendly place for older adults to come and enjoy a range of activities from quiet and entertaining to active and educational. Our recently renovated community center has so much to offer all of our seniors. We are a place where you can enjoy a hot, nutritious lunch, socialize with friends, and enjoy a variety of activities that are unique to our center. Here at Oakwood, we are a community and a family. Each of our members- new and old, help to create a warm and inviting place that feels like home.
Nutrition
The Oakwood Community Center provides daily hot and nutritionally balanced Congregate (group) meals to elders (age 60+). The Congregate lunch meals are available at no cost to seniors; donations are accepted.
Supportive Services
Anyone who attends our center has access to individual counseling in a variety of areas assisting them to remain and thrive in their neighborhoods. Some areas of counseling include:

Recreation and Socialization
Group adult development activities are offered at all of our Stand Alone centers. The activities we offer cover areas of health and wellness, arts & culture and lifelong learning. Among the most popular activities offered at our site are:

Transportation
