The Golden Age Centers offer a variety of volunteer opportunities which will benefit primarily low income, frailer and isolated seniors served by the agency throughout its sites, and provide a most satisfying volunteer experience. These include ongoing or one time direct service opportunities such as:
Teaching craft classes.
Running games such as bingo, pinochle, cards and chess.
Leading a variety of exercise activities at varying levels.
Helping serve noon time lunch meals.
Bagging supplemental food for the home delivered meal program - 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. weekdays option
Providing an educational program or talk.
Storytelling or reminiscing.
Playing piano, leading a choral group, or providing musical entertainment.
Organizing and executing festive parties.
Socializing with seniors.
Organizing a collection of toiletries or basic household supplies for seniors.
Delivering boxes of shelf stable food.

Target Store volunteers who spent the afternoon at the King Kennedy GAC playing games with seniors and spreading cheer. Also recognizing volunteers from
Church of the Saviour who provided supplies and made Easter baskets with seniors at the Ernest J. Bohn Center. A great way to celebrate Easter!
